Our Board of Directors values being “motivated, passionate, community-focused helpers.”
So, when Courtney H. sent a note to our Interim Executive Director Lisa Cole asking for a sit down session with advice on a career shift into the nonprofit realm of helping others, “yes!” was the obvious answer.
The two spent an entire morning diving deep into life questions and discussions on personal passions, values, literacy and local nonprofits.
Courtney walked away with her own self-built strategy sheet plus solid ideas on demographics and local groups she’d enjoy serving.
“This is one of the most productive talks I’ve had in a long while!” she said, smiling as she stepped out the door. She also took note of our meeting calendar and said she’d likely return on November 16 for our next council meeting.
