About Us
Making a Difference
Since 1968, Literacy SC has helped over 6,000 adults read well through the Turning Pages Adult Reading Program. Our trained tutors offer one-on-one sessions at local libraries, giving learners support to boost their skills and confidence.
We’ve trained over 1,700 tutors over the years. Current tutors meet with learners at two dozen libraries in Richland, Lexington, and Aiken Counties. Our flagship reading program is free, and all the books and supplies are too!
