Literacy SC - Read Well

Helping Central SC Read Well since 1968

We believe anyone can move up and ahead through the power of reading. So, we teach adults and families practical skills in reading, writing and math to build confidence in daily life.

Our flagship free Turning Pages Adult Reading program teaches adults to read well through private tutoring and reading labs.

Other low cost workshops follow our learn more, earn more, do more philosophy for growth and confidence.

The Big Screen

Counted Out Film ScreeningThe Nickelodeon

We’re kicking 2026 off at “The Nick” with a private screening of the documentary Counted Out. This film dives into how math skills are key when it comes to power and democracy. This is an invite-only think tank for local leaders, educators, and friends of Literacy SC who are ready to move the needle. Have a code? Register NOW >>
