Organizational excellence begins with strong governance. Literacy SC’s 15-member Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight, and a steadfast commitment to the organization’s mission. Drawing on diverse professional expertise and a shared passion for expanding literacy opportunities, the Board works alongside staff and community partners to ensure Literacy SC remains responsive, accountable, and focused on creating meaningful outcomes for learners across South Carolina.
Through thoughtful governance and responsible stewardship, the Board helps position Literacy SC for long-term sustainability while supporting innovative programs that empower adults with the literacy skills they need to thrive.
Seated Members
Our Board of Directors consists of 15 seats, with members serving two-year terms. Board meetings are held virtually at 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
Literacy SC is seeking engaged community leaders to join our Board of Directors. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in Information Technology, Legal Affairs, Human Resources, and Fund Development who can help strengthen our governance capacity, expand our organizational impact, and support the continued growth and sustainability of our mission.
