Better Together

Reading Begins Here

Our 2026 Event Lineup

Never AloneNew

When 1 in 5 adults struggle to read, it becomes a community-wide hurdle. Our Better Together series brings this invisible crisis out of the shadows and into the spotlight. This year, we’ve curated three unique experiences to honor our supporters, open doors for our learners, and tackle reading challenges in the Midlands head-on.

How do I get an invite?

Since these events are for friends of Literacy SC, the best way to get on the invite list is to join our cause! Whether you become a volunteer tutor, a Pair Care Team member, or a monthly donor, we want you in the room when we’re making change happen in South Carolina.

We’re kicking things off at “The Nick” with a private screening of the documentary Counted Out. This film dives into how math skills are key when it comes to power and democracy. This is an invite-only think tank for local leaders, educators, and friends of Literacy SC who are ready to move the needle. Have a code? Register NOW >>
