First Tutor Class in Two Years Learns About Adult Literacy

It’s official! Our first reading tutor class in over two years was a success.

Twelve new tutors have joined our council after a three hour training workshop this morning on adult education and Laubach reading methodology.

These tutors will be assigned an adult learner who reads at or below a 6th grade level. Each pair will receive a no-cost curriculum kit to guide them through 24 hour-long tutoring sessions to raise reading skills in the learner.

Great things are ahead in 2023!
