Turning Pages Aiken is here to help you. We teach adults how to read well. Our program is free. You do not have to pay for books or lessons.

How It Works

We make it easy to start.

  • Private Help: You work with one tutor. It is just the two of you.
  • One Hour a Week: You meet for one hour each week.
  • Safe Place: You meet at the Aiken County Public Library. It is a quiet place to learn.

We Meet You at the Library The library is on Chesterfield Street. It is near Park Avenue and downtown. It is a friendly place. We meet there because it is safe and easy to find.

Why Learn Now? Reading can change your life. Our students learn so they can:

  • Read a map or a bus sign.
  • Read a menu at a restaurant.
  • Read a book to a child.
  • Get a better job.
  • Fill out forms at the doctor.

You Can Do This

Our tutors are kind. They want to see you win. There are no big tests and no grades. We go at your speed.
